TeamTipOut ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Email address (for account creation and authentication)
• Display name (optional, for personalization)
• Shift data (dates, hours worked, default role)
• Tip and sales data (amounts entered for tipout calculations)
• Crew membership information (when you join or create a crew)
• A device push token, if you enable notifications (used only to deliver them)
• Basic diagnostic data when the app hits an error: device model, OS version, app version, and the account ID and email tied to the session

How We Use Your Data

Your information is used to:

• Provide and maintain the TeamTipOut service
• Calculate and distribute tipout amounts
• Manage your account and crew memberships
• Send important service-related notifications
• Improve and optimize the application

Data Storage

Your data is securely stored using Supabase, a trusted cloud database platform. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Row Level Security ensures you can only access data that belongs to you. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase (database and authentication infrastructure)
• RevenueCat (subscription and in-app purchase management)
• Sentry (error tracking and crash reporting) — receives your account ID and email address so we can trace a reported problem back to the affected account
• Google (Gmail) — delivers our transactional email, so your email address passes through Google’s mail servers when we send you a verification code, a crew invite, or a weekly summary
• Apple Sign-In (optional authentication provider)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (profile, shift logs, tip calculations, and crew memberships) is permanently removed from our database.

Two things sit outside that deletion. Diagnostic reports already sent to Sentry, and purchase records held by RevenueCat and the App Store, are retained by those services under their own policies and retention schedules. Apple, not us, is the record-keeper for your subscription.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data at any time through the app
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data by contacting us
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Withdraw consent for data processing

Children's Privacy

TeamTipOut is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
